What is fashion to me? [Anna]

Fashion to me is about how well you know yourself and how original you can be. Knowing yourself well is, knowing what looks good on you and knowing how to look good with what you have. Face it, not everyone is born with a hot body. Be happy with what you have and make the best out of it. Being original is, having your own sense of style and not having to look at other people to determine what your own style should be. Although advices and tips are welcome, but its better to rely on yourself After all, no one else knows you better than you, yourself.

Fashion is an art, a challenge and all about your own feelings. There’s no such thing as a fashion genius. They are only normal people who knows (better than most people) how to make something great out of what they have. You can too. Fashion is like art, because what may look nice to other people, may not look nice to you. What you like, others may not. In the end, its all about you. You have to listen to yourself. Don’t wear it if you don’t like it. Your true feelings show through the clothes that you wear. Fashion is a challenge, because you have to have the courage to dress your own style. If you think it looks great, (and it better be great), then don’t be afraid to wear it. Don’t play it safe, and don’t follow the crowd. Be proud to stand out, but NOT in a bad way. Fashion is all about your own feelings, because how you feel affects what you wear. But, there’s no need to dress for the funeral when you’re upset, try colors that are less bright and eye-catching. And when you feel great, there’s no need to dress like a rainbow. Let Nature do its job, not you. Stick to one color you like, but don’t drown yourself in it.

There’s no such thing as too many accessories. You’re right. But, there’s no need to look like you’re a walking accessories shop. If your clothes stand out, tone down on the accessories. Let your clothes attract the attention. If you’re wearing something plain, then you may have on more accessories. But do NOT go overboard. You want to look good, not heavy.

Having a good sense of fashion does not mean you have to have a lot of clothes, but knowing how to make something look good out of what you have. Like this article, less is definitely more.

Be original,
Anna.
