Accessorize.. Accessorize..

When it comes to accessories, many individuals are unaware of the appropriate items that will best work with their outfit. Some may lack accessories, and I have seen some that go way… overboard! They are called accessories for a reason, they are meant to work with your outfit, not to overshadow your outfit =P

A few tips to accessorizing. Along with a few do’s and don’ts pictures =)

1. Pick a focal point.
Pick ONE focal point for your look, either with your outfit or your accessory.
If your outfit is heavy or is printed, it is sometimes better to have subtle or less accessories. Personally I like to keep my outfit plain and simple, which gives me more choices to play around with accessories.

2. Matchy is not catchy
This is often done with evening wear. For example, if your dress is red, that doesn’t mean everything from head to toe has to be red! Lol..

3. Don’t over do it!
Here’s a great tip by coco chanel when you feel like you have over accessorized and don’t know what to do:

"When accessorizing always take off the last thing you put on"- Coco Chanel.

4. Handbag, don’t leave leave home without it..
Who doesn’t love em? I love big bags, but try not going for bags that are five times your size, haha.. It’s better for dresses that are printed to go for a simpler plain handbag or clutch.

5. Just say it, don’t dress to show it

Guys make a great accessory and an arm candy, haha.. Do stay away from wearing matching couple t-shirts though! But if you have to, it’s ok if there’s just a little hint of similarities. Take Nicole richie and joel madden lookin hot in red.
