First off, we’re going to switch things up a little.
This week instead of showcasing three items, I’m going to blog about fashion mishaps.
Coco’s list of five things that are not fashionable.
(They are either not in fashion or never were fashionable to begin with.)
Either way, they should not be attempted.
- Crocs
Oh my god crocs get on my nerves. I understand that some people value their comfort. Don’t get me wrong I value comfort too. But when it comes to crocs I’d rather walk barefoot in the mud than be seen in them. For god’s sake they are plastic clogs. They do not look good. - Overexposure
If you have it, flaunt it? That is not always the case. Sometimes some things are better left to the imagination. Overexposure was never in fashion. Have u ever seen Pamela Anderson in the best dressed list? I didn’t think so. Less is not always more. Leave the micro mini’s and busty tops at home. Better yet, burn them. - Platform Shoes
It’s 2008 now, platform shoes went out of style a decade ago. Update yourself. If you feel the need to look tall, there are always wedges and high heels. The Spice Girls might be back together and touring, but that does not mean platform shoes are making a comeback. - Clothes that don't fit
I know sometimes we all like to think we are slimmer than we really are, and sometimes we like to cover things we don’t want people to see. But it is not advisable to buy something a size too small or a size to big. Buying clothes a size to small, defeats the whole purpose, as it makes u look bigger than u are. When you bust at the seams, it shows. If you are an M or L, it’s totally acceptable. There’s nothing wrong with it. And buying clothes that are too big are also not advisable. Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen might do it, but keep in mind they make too much money too care what people think. It makes you look like a slob, and slightly lazy. As though you are not concerned about your choice of outfit. It’s not always a good thing. - Fur
We live in Malaysia. Let’s be realistic. It’s a very hot country. Also, fur is not cheap. And it’s cruelty towards animals. So it’s pretty obvious when people wear fur, it’s fake. Not only does fake fur make one look cheap, it also makes one look mentally unwell when wearing it in the Malaysian heat. What’s worse is the variety of dyed fur today in shades of pink, purple and even green? There is no such thing as a purple fox. So there should not be purple fur. Unless you live somewhere cold, or you are just not well in the head, do not buy fur. Fake or real. Big no-no.
And now, another 5 items I should not need to explain.
6. Overalls (we passed the age of 7)
7. Baggy jeans with various pockets @ thug style (we are not thugs)
8. Shuffle pants (life is not a constant rave)
9. Visible thong or g-string straps strung above waistline of jeans. ( sleazy spells easy)
10. Sunglasses at night (need I say more?)
Pictures to help prove my point.

How abt wearing boots in Msia?
does it make an individual look somewhat "LALA"/crazy? :D
well what i think is, by no overdoing it, wearing boots makes someone look chic.
I think boots are fine in Malaysia. I own a couple of pairs myself :P. Although, I don't quite like the boots with the unnecessary decorations.. the kind with fur that comes out of nowhere, stuck on flowers and things like that.
Other than those, I love boots :)
Cheers,
Westwood
Personally, i dont think boots should be worn in Malaysia at all, haha.. I have a pair myself, bought them cause i really wanted one, just never worn it and not gonna wear it in Malaysia! lol.. and yeah i do see some girls around lookin very lala with them, for example i see them wearing skirts (like our latest fashion victim) and wearing boots! big no no! haha..

honestly, i dislike boots in m'sia. it's just like fur, it's not quite practical. the only boots i think are suitable and stylish enough for m'sia are simple ankle high boots.i have yet to find the perfect pair, when i do, i'll definitely post them up.
sincerely,
coco
ooh, coco! i found one in zara! on sale! haha.. i really wanted to get them, was just very broke at that time, now im not sure if they still have em or not, crap! haha..

LOL its nice to have you guys replying my comment. well, i have to agree with the weather and such ;) however, its so "unfair" to see all those boots fashion around on mags in other countries. HAHA :P
and for the lala case, maybe, its THE WAY they wear them. LOL.
hey, whats wrong with wearing boots with skirt!!! :P maybe wearing with an above-the-knee dress will look good.
comments anyone?
I still say no boots in malaysia babe! hehe.. but to ur question about boots with skirt, if u saw our previous fashion victim of the month, which we have taken off already =( dun ever wear it like that, not even with those layered skirts too..
But if u must, ankle boots with simple, plain jeans skirt would looks nice.. with jeans as well is fine (do wear your jeans over the boots though) cause it will make your legs look nice and longer =)
