This week, we’ve decided to try something new on Saturday’s. Instead of raising fashion issues, we’ve thought it would be better to post ONE of these topics each week:
1. Fashion Crisis
We have received a number of readers seeking advice on fashion since we’ve started this blog. For those who wrote in, we hope we were able to help you =) We’ve decided to try something new and experiment for you to get a better idea of what our ideas are and pick your favorite one.
We will pick and post a reader’s ‘fashion crisis’, and we will give our own comments/advice and so will you!
In a midst of a ‘fashion crisis’?
Seeking advice?
Or have any sort of fashion related question?
Do send us an email. With your permission, we will post your ‘fashion crisis’ up on Saturdays. If you wish for us to not post your ‘fashion crisis’, we shall respect your wishes and still reply to your crisis through email. =)
2. Voice Out!
Based on the feedback we got from our February 11th post,
We have decided to try out idea #2.
Here’s the idea again, for those of you who don’t remember.
We put a subscription box on our sidebar and anyone who would like to receive updates from our blog can sign up. From this we’d pick out a random person every week and allow that person to blog about their favorite piece of clothing, or anything fashion related.
-Send us your emails at ohmygodyourclothes@hotmail.com. With the subject of your
email titled either ‘Fashion Crisis’ or ‘Voice Out!’. Do inform us if you wish remain
anonymous and we will keep your identity private.
Since we also have MSN Messenger, you can also add us to your MSN contacts and talk to us there.
Our emails are listed on our sidebar.
This week we present our first Fashion Crisis,
She wrote in saying….
Hi there. I'm from Johor and I’m in a middle of a fashion crisis now. You see, I’m a swimmer, so often at competitions, we get those competitions T-shirts, which are usually either over-sized or the colors are too ugly to be true. (It's usually a combination of the Johor flag colors, can u imagine?)
My closet, is filled with these kind of shirts despite having given away lots before. I usually just wear normal T’s. Like, white or black nothing else. With shorts (like school shorts) or jeans. So, I’m kinda wondering if you might give me some advise on what to buy for my closet.
P/S: I’m more of the casual smart or sporty type of girl.
Thanks!
Do help our reader out by either leaving comments under this post, or in our comment box.
We and our reader would really appreciate it =)
With love,

My suggestion for you would be to start buying tops that actually fit and show off that body. Also, try wearing some colour. Colour or prints will never look boring or plain.
Do not wear school shorts out of the school compound! Lol! I can't stress this enough. Try wearing skirts (but not with the competition T-shirts) or fitted jeans. Or get shorts that aren't school shorts.
Westwood :)
I think you should break your streak of wearing large Ts and school shorts form this day on :)
Try on something more FUN and which enhances your body rather than those BIG, BIG Ts.
oh, you can never go wrong w/ a well fitted jeans and a tank tap.
Right, girls?
LOVE,
Charis.
i think u should start small.little things can still do wonders.
first thing u should buy, i totally agree with both comments, a pair of well fitted jeans.better to ease into it then go ultra trendy too soon, cause u might not be comfortable in them, just look a plain one that fits u well.
maybe try nice fitted track pants if your not a fan of jeans.i'm talking yoga fitting type drawstring low pants, not the unflattering school kind.
and yes load up on baby tee's.
lastly, buy a nice big bag to put all ur junk into :)
lol.
better yet, refer to mishka's post last week.ten things every girl should have in her closet.
Coco
first of all, get rid of your large t's and school looking shorts that you often wear outside other than to school, hehe..
and since your a swimmer, i'm assuming ur in pretty good shape, so why not show of ur body? =) wear more fitted clothes to show of your curves.
i agree with coco, if your style is sporty, go for the more fashionable sporty/yoga wear and not the school type of sports wear, haha..
have a change in your style once in while, do not change too drastically though, take it slow, hehe.. when shopping try on different kinds and style of clothes. try on something you usually would never try on or buy, you'll never know, it may look good on you.
and yeah do take look at my '10 things every girl should have in their closet' post, hope it will help you and your wardrobe look different than it is now.. =)
